MadJax X-Series Controller ID Guide

1. Locate the controller

The controller on the X-Series is located in the battery bay under the seat on the passenger side of the cart. It is located inside the black plastic box with the "Tow/Run" switch on it.

 

2. Access the controller

To access the controller the cover will need to be removed. It is held on with screws along the edge. Once the screws are removed the cover can be removed. The wires will still be attached to the "Tow/Run" switch.

 

3. Observe & Identify The Controller

With the cover removed you can see the controller pretty easily. The controller in this model vehicle is a private labeled reliance unit that is actually made by Enpower.

 

4. Locate & Identify Programming Port

The programming port on the X-Series model golf cart will be located under the seat with a bundle of connectors directly behind the battery charge port. The programming port is a 2 pin black flat automotive style connector.

 

Now that we have identified the controller in your vehicle we can take a look at the required equipment to connect to the vehicle and make your desired changes.

5. Programming Cable

To establish a connection with the Reliance controller in your X-Series golf cart you will need to use CartCables part # CC-CBL-ENPWCB. It can be purchased HERE

 

6. Programming Software

In addition to the programming cable you will need to have a copy of the "Parameter Calibrator" software loaded on your pc. WE DO NOT PROVIDE THE SOFTWARE.
